CrossFit Thunder’s Endurance program was started in 2011 as a way of helping those athletes who struggle with the cardiovascular aspect of fitness. Since that time, we have evolved this training into a true 12-week ½ Marathon training program. The interval sprint schedule is designed for athletes to complete a half marathon even without any previous distance running experience. Optimally designed for 2 days a week, this allows members to continue strength training and workouts of the day without the long, slow distance runs that can often be as detrimental to client longevity.
CrossFit Thunder's next Endurance block of training will start on March 16th of 2020 and will focus on preparing members for the 50k,25k, or 10k held on the Kanawha Trace trail on August 1st of 2020. The endurance track is included as part of the regular workout of the day on Monday's and Thursday's.
